Biography

Jiwei Guan holds a PhD in Computer Science and works at the intersection of artificial intelligence and real-world systems. His research focuses on multimodal learning, robust vision–language models, and trustworthy AI, with experience building applied machine learning solutions and end-to-end data pipelines. He has led and contributed to projects involving model evaluation, adversarial robustness, and human-centered AI applications, and has collaborated across academia and industry teams. He also has an entrepreneurial background in robotics, having helped build product roadmaps and teams, and contributed to the development of service and cleaning robotics solutions from prototyping to field deployment.
