Decarbonization/ Low-Carbon Economy and Net Zero

The goal of decarbonization is to create a low-carbon economy and achieve carbon neutrality by eliminating fossil fuel combustion. This involves reducing greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel use and capturing and storing emissions in carbon sinks. Net zero refers to a state where the amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere is balanced by the amount removed. Decarbonization efforts are essential to achieving net zero.
